I have a couple of poems forthcoming from Roger, a magazine out of Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. I first became interested in this magazine when my graduate school advisor told me it was the only other national lit mag aside from our Puerto del Sol with a Latina editor in chief. I thought, I want to be part of that. A good journey.

A few excerpts from a longer poem that will become my chapbook for Dusie (titled "many lost cause creatures could form a very sad list") will appear on Everyday Genius this coming Monday. I'm unsure of the punctuation or grammar of publishing series excerpts--do I declare that this is the publication of three poems? It's not, but it's also not a complete individual poem. Episodic narrative: one of my favorite terms to teach comp students.

I read in a super secret reading on Tuesday night. A few Belladonna co-collaborators and I are starting a word-of-mouth only reading series. No Facebook invitations, no listserv announcements. Kind of a speakeasy vibe, underground.
